Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my mother's birthday. She turns 71 years old. I think I'll wake her up and sing to her!

Well....I had to leave a message. I'll have to call again later.

Last night, we had chinese for dinner, and I admit, I was not impressed. I think they got our order wrong. We ordered the orange chicken, and ended up getting some chicken and broccoli concoction, and the container wasn't even full. Oh, well...

After dinner we went for a walk along the beach (LUHVE living on the beach!) and then went back and ate Brigham's Big Dig ice cream. Yum!

Made dinner for Scott last night - another crab salad, very good light dinner! Then we went upstairs where 'lil Amanda was trying on her flower dress for my future niece's wedding. Played witht he baby for a while, then went back downstairs to watch Law and Order. It seems to be on a continuous loop on either TBS or USA, and when it's not on either of those channels, it's on NBC.

Great Weekend!

I had a very nice weekend! Saturday, we went upstairs because Scott's Mom was having a birthday party for his twin brother and sister. Got to play with 'lil Amanda - yay!

Sunday I had to work but when I got home Scott had lunch ready for me. Afterwards, we unpacked a bunch of boxes and got the kitchen organized. Now we need to go through our duplicates and get rid of more stuff.

Yesterday for dinner I made some yummy chicken and risoto - we also had salad and veggies, and Shrek M & M's for dessert!

The best part of all was being able to walk out the front door, down to the end of the block, across the street, and along the beach after dinner. Yeaaaaahhhhh....

Things I have learned about living with a boy...having never done so before

* I am a much lighter sleeper than I thought
* Things change when someone else has access to your fridge - I learned this one morning when I had a craving for cereal and couldn't find the milk. D'OH! Someone DRANK all the milk!
* I do dishes ALL THE TIME - even though Scott says he is going to to them in the morning or when he gets home - I just can't stand to let them sit.
* I think sometimes boys don't SEE dirt. I can't imagine how someone can function in a filthy bathroom. I have been kinda waiting to see if it is going to get cleaned (after all, it was filthy when I moved in, why should I have to clean it?) but you have to choose your battles, and I think I'm so particular I'd rather clean the bathroom, anyway. It will sparkle when he gets home! :)
* I have a TON more to learn!
